Hillsboro martial arts teacher admits he was fuming, How to Deal With Jerks on Plane

I recently took a trip to Texas from Portland

I probably rode about 4 different planes there and back

And one of the things I noticed was that males don’t follow the rules on the plane

Sigh... Rudeness really gets to me sometimes

Sigh... Rudeness really gets to me sometimes

When they requested electronics to be off, there were several of them who would hide listening to an iPod

Or talking a phone discreetly

I thought to myself, if we go down because you wanted to listen to the new Beyonce album, I swear I’m gonna kill you

Another man actually had the enough to lay his stuff pretty much into my area

He literally took up two seats the one seat he was in and the seat in between us

I was fuming

Here’s the point here

I did nothing

You know why?

Because I have the knowledge, that given the chance

I could do some lasting damage to them

So I was able to let it go

There’s a certain confidence and power that comes from knowing that they don’t know what they are dealing with

Sifu Paul Vunak calls this leaving out the spiritual door

You enter through the physical door (violence)

Then out of that fire, you come out being a very clam person

Because you know what it is like to experience real heat from battle from sparring

That way, you don’t have to annilate every body in your path that crosses you

And that is the highest calling of martial arts

(Something We Aspire to In our Hillsboro/Tigard Martial Arts school)

Knowing you could do something and having the ability to do the right thing

And having the wisdom to hold back when necessary
