I’m not even quite sure what some of that means, but your correct in some of it. But, the application of such drills in the right spots is what wins fights. We’re talking about a style match up here.

I saw the fight and I don’t understand why everyone is acting like Cyborg just went in there and destroyed Gina. Gina lost the fight, no doubt, but destroyed? C’mon. Actually, when the game went to stand up and the hand skills she outclassed Cyborg. The problem was that she only used her front kick one time, and way too late in the round, to keep Cyborg at a distance like she normally does.

Personally, I agree with the poster above who questioned whether or not her heart is really into the game anymore. Gina is in the same position as Dwayne The Rock Johnson was. She has so much going on career wise that does it make sense for her to invest her time into MMA and quite possible get her beautiful face disfigured? She is lucky she didn’t really get hurt as badly as she could have been against a fighter like Cyborg. I mean, did you see what she did to Jan Finney? It was brutal.

So, just like I suggested for Dwayne Johnson I suggest for Gina Carano; make that money and maximize the talents you have in a career that will make you far more money than MMA would. I miss seeing The Rock in the ring and I will miss seeing Gina in the cage too, but…if we think less as fans and more as objective human beings we would realize their decision is the right one for them, their health and their careers.

Outclassed? Maybe, but it’s important to note, there were tons of technical errors that Gina made in this fight. Cyborg’s style is a hybrid swatter/tank, you have to deal with this kind of fighter in a specific way, and unfortunately, what she was told to do was ineffective for this type of fighter. Cyborg will meet her match when someone battles her style and not her specifically. This was a fight that was just plain coached wrong and Gina paid for it. Mark my words though, Cyborg will lose and it will be by domination or knockout and her star will also be tarnished.

Gina was outclassed plain and simple. I\’ve followed her since she started in muay thai. I fought a girl from her camp. She never fought the best in muay thai. Master Toddy hand picked her fights. She was undefeated until she met Julia Budd who handled her. She quit muay thai after that loss and started MMA. She’s a good fighter, but the best?? Germaine DeRandamie is the best MT fighter and Gina would NEVER fight her. It was nice to finally see Gina tested. We don’t see bullsh!t fights in men\’s MMA. Why should females be any different? Cyborg is here to wreck shop and hopefully the next generation of females who step up will be game not glamour.

I agree with the thought that something seem unnatural in that fight. Cyborg came in way big, and Gina is not a small girl and she looked tiny next to Cyborg. They might be PR’ing this situation with Cyborg’s recent cover of a magazine that tries to make her look “sexy”. It’s out on newsstands now.

What do expect when a MAN( CYBORG)fights a woman (Carano). I don\’t care what anyone says they need to GENDER test Cyborg that is a man. If they test her they will be able to give GINA her title.

I agree, with a fighter who fights like Wanderlei and swarms you, you can’t pot shot them to death. You’re going to eat a lot of leather there was a massive flaw in the game plan strategy of Carano.

I saw this fight too! And to tell you the truth, I never saw the eye of the tiger in Gina Carano\’s eyes. However, I did in Cyborg\’s! She was hungry!! And she was going to do whatever it took to win. And another thing, I saw every one of Carano\’s fights; and although they were good, none of them possessed the intensity like Cyborg\’s did. She was like a fighting machine that just kept on coming at you not knowing when to stop. And as a 2-1 favorite, it\’s no wonder why she won.

Carano is a good fighter make no mistake about it. However, she if she wants to become champion some day she needs to work hard and learn from her mistakes.
